Christmas in July

It's that time of year again. No, not really Christmas in July, but it certainly feels like it is when my Island Batik boxes arrive. Island Batik Ambassadors receive items in January and July, so that we can complete the monthly challenges. The next challenge is August when we have to make a miniature guilt. There is a blog hop in September and November.

Let's get started......

First up, is batting from Hobbs Batting.

Batting from the Thermore, Heirloom and Tuscany Collections; it's great to have such a nice selection of batting to choose from.

How about I show you the beautiful Flora Nova Collection? The collection is designed by Kathy Engle and it will be available in shops this fall. It is such a beautiful line with gorgeous grays, yellows and black batiks. I will be using this collection for the September Blog Hop.

Aurifil sent along five spools of 50 weight thread to be used in the September Challenge as well. These colors match Flora Nova so nicely.

Hmmm, what should I show you next?

How about ten-inch squares from the Daisy May Collection and two Foundation Basics named Aruba and Rice.

While we are on pre-cuts, here are the Precious Pinks 2-1/2" strip set and the Ravishing Reds 10" inch squares. Aren't these gradients just gorgeous?

I received an array of Foundation blenders, solids and basics, as well as the black, dark gray and white solids that I regularly use in my designs.

Included in the box were two packages of five-inch strip sets; I just love these assorted strip sets! They come in very handy and are so nicely rolled and tied with an Island Batik ribbon.

I ralso eceived two fabrics that can be used with Flora Nova; Petals Black Charcoal and Cornsilk. The bottom fabric is Chalk and can be used a backing or a background.

We received everything that we needed to make our October By Annie project. Thank you, By Annie! I will be using fabrics from the Twilight Collection, designed by Kathy Engle for Create with Claudia. There will also be a Blog Hop in October featuring Twilight.

Finally, let's not forget the surprise bundle which will be used for the November Blog Hop! I will be able to unveil this secret collection in the fall.
